Google Ads: agency-level tools and a map of the transfer market

Tosiu now has agency-level access to Google's professional advertising tools: more data and more control for analysing and managing campaigns. We are using them to map private transfer advertising in Italy, studying the campaigns of the big international players to see, with real data, where a local company can show up better than they do. This method now goes into every campaign we manage.

    ReadClose

Tosiu now works on Google Ads with agency-level tools: Google granted us professional access to its advertising platforms, which brings data and controls that were not available before, from real search volumes to auction analysis and term-by-term performance.

With these tools we are building something this industry lacks: a map of private transfer advertising in Italy. We are studying, ad by ad, the campaigns of the big international players, including Transfeero, Blacklane, Suntransfers, Connecto Transfers, GetTransfer, Welcome Pickups, AirportsTaxiTransfers, Kiwitaxi, Hoppa, Taxi2Airport, MyTransfers, Daytrip, GoOpti and Sixt Ride.

The first result is clear: these platforms cover thousands of routes with one generic machine, and that is exactly where the openings are. Our latest analysis shows that a local company, with well-built campaigns, can show up better than they do on the searches that matter: the right language, places called by their name, dedicated pages, and only the searches of people who genuinely want a private transfer with a driver.

This method is now going into every advertising campaign we manage. There is nothing you need to do: it is how we build and improve campaigns from here on.

Tours: sell guided experiences from your own site

You can now build a catalog of tours and experiences, publish them on your site with a real availability calendar, and take bookings for them through the same checkout as your transfers. They land in the same Reservations list, the same calendar and the same dispatch board.

    ReadClose

Until now your site sold one thing: transfers. It can now also sell tours and experiences, with their own pages, their own availability and their own checkout. Everything runs on the machinery you already use, so there is nothing new to learn on the operations side.

    The catalog

Tours in the sidebar is where you build them. One tour, several tabs: description and photos, variants (a half day and a full day are two variants of the same tour), prices per person or per group, the season and the weekdays it runs, blackout dates, the meeting point or pickup, and the cancellation window. A tour goes live only when it is complete: the server checks the cover photo, the description, a priced variant, a departure day and a meeting point or pickup before it will publish.

    On your site

Published tours get a /tours index page and a page each, with a gallery, the itinerary, the meeting point on a map, the FAQ and a booking widget that shows real availability month by month: sold out, closed, outside the season and past the cutoff hour all say so. You can also place a tour card block on any page from the Site Builder.

    Booking and money

The tour checkout is the transfer checkout: the same payment methods, the same deposit rules, the same promo codes, the same confirmation email, the same PDF ticket and calendar file. A departure cannot be oversold: availability is re-checked at the moment the customer confirms, not only when the page loaded.

    In the back office

A tour booking is a booking. It appears in Reservations (with an All / Transfers / Tours filter), in the Calendar, in Trips, and on the Dispatch board where you assign it to a driver or pass it to a partner exactly as you do a transfer. The driver sees it in the portal with the meeting point and a map link, the foglio di servizio prints it, and Analytics gains a breakdown of bookings and revenue by service. You can edit the date, the participants and the price, and cancel it, from the same panel.

Tours is included in the Starter, Pro+ and Leader plans. If you would like it switched on for your site, get in touch.

  • New feature

Price formula: tolls, approach runs, and a live coverage map

The price formula can now charge for expensive motorways and alpine tunnels, and for the empty run from your garage when a job starts far from you. The service area is now a real map you can zoom, and the page has been reorganised into base rate, supplements and finishing touches.

    ReadClose

The price formula has grown. Everything below is in Price Formula, and everything is off until you switch it on: nothing changes in your prices unless you set it up.

    Road and toll surcharges

Some motorways and alpine crossings cost far more than the fuel. You can now charge for them.

    • A tunnel or a ferry is a fixed amount, because it costs the same however you reach it. The Monte Bianco, Gran San Bernardo and Frejus tunnels and sea crossings such as the Strait of Messina are in the list.
    • A motorway is charged per km actually driven on it. A trip that joins it halfway pays less than one running its whole length, with no entry and exit table to maintain.
    • About 45 Italian motorways and crossings can be picked from a list, and any other road code can be typed. The surcharge fires only when the route really uses that road, never when the road is merely signposted along the way.

    Approach surcharge from your garage

If a job starts far from where you keep your vehicles, it also costs you the empty run to get there.

    • Add the address of each of your garages. If you have more than one, add them all.
    • Set a free radius and a rate per km. Trips inside the free radius pay nothing.
    • The distance is real road distance from the nearest garage to the nearest end of the trip, so the same route costs the same in both directions, and adding a garage can only lower a price, never raise it.
    • An optional maximum caps the surcharge whatever the distance.

The service area is now a real map

The coverage map used to be a picture, so zooming it just enlarged the pixels. It is now a proper map you can pan and zoom, with your zones drawn on it and your garages marked. You can also change a zone radius directly in the list instead of deleting the zone and adding it again, and a note under the map states, in your own settings, whether one end or both ends of a trip must fall inside your zones.

The page is easier to read

Too much had ended up behind the collapsed advanced toggle, including things that move a quote by tens of euro. The page now reads in the order the price is actually built: Base rate (km bands, per-km rates, and the two corrections that reshape them), Supplements (climb, airport, roads and tolls, approach), then Finishing touches for VAT, fixed fee and rounding. Nothing you had configured has changed.

The guide on the page has been updated, and the test tool shows every new supplement as its own line in the breakdown.

  • New feature

    Translate contact messages with AI

Contact Requests now has a Translate with AI button. When a message arrives in a language you do not read, open it and translate it into your own language with one click. The button only appears when the message is not already in your language.

    ReadClose

When someone writes to you through your site's contact form in a language you do not read, you can now translate their message inside the app.

    • Open a contact request and use the Translate with AI button, next to Archive.
    • The message is replaced with the translation in your own language, clearly marked so you can tell it apart from the original.
    • You can switch back to the original text at any time.

The button only shows up when the message is in a different language from the one your app is set to, so you never see it on messages you can already read. Each translation is saved, so reopening a message later does not use AI again.

Luggage and extras: the space check that prevents bad surprises

The booking flow now verifies that luggage and equipment actually fit the selected vehicle. When something does not fit, the customer is offered the cheapest vehicle that carries everything, with photos and the exact price difference. You control how much space each extra takes from the Extras page.

    ReadClose

We completed a careful rework of how luggage and extras are handled during booking, so the vehicle that shows up can really carry everything the customer booked.

    • Real space check: every extra that takes boot space (extra suitcases, skis and ski bags, snowboards, golf bags, bicycles, surfboards) is checked against the boot capacity of the vehicle the customer selected, counting the luggage already included for the passengers.
    • No blind additions: when an item does not fit, it cannot simply be added. The site shows a clear side-by-side comparison, the current vehicle and the recommended one, with photos, seats, luggage capacity and the exact price difference.
    • One-tap upgrade: the customer can switch to the suggested vehicle directly from that window; everything already typed and every extra already chosen is preserved, and a small confirmation shows the new vehicle.
    • You decide how much space each extra takes: on the Extras page every space-taking extra has a Space value. Bulky items like bicycles and surfboards count more than a suitcase by default, you can adjust each one, and 0 means the item takes no boot space at all. Child seats never count as luggage space.
    • A clearer Extras page: each extra now shows its controls with plain labels, price, free of charge, maximum per booking, space, each with a short explanation, and the page reads much better on the phone.

The goal is simple: no surprises at pickup. The customer books extras knowing they fit, travels comfortably, and you never have to fix a luggage problem on the day of the transfer. The automatic check runs on sites using the vehicle-selection booking method; it is already live, with your prices and rules unchanged.

  • Improvement

A smoother booking experience for your customers

We reworked the booking flow on your website: simpler steps, free navigation back and forth, editable trip details at any point, clearer payment choices and a fully optimized mobile experience. It is already live on your site, nothing to configure.

    ReadClose

We released a wide round of improvements to the booking process your customers go through on your website.

    • Simpler, clearer steps: search, transfer details, payment. Customers can go back to any previous step without losing what they typed.
    • Edit without starting over: from the trip summary, customers change addresses, date, time or passengers at any point; the price updates instantly. A return trip can be added or removed mid-booking, with a small confirmation ("Return added") so the change is always clear.
    • Smarter search (automatic price sites): each suggestion now shows an icon for what it is, an airport, a hotel, a station, so picking the right place is faster.
    • Better vehicle selection: an improved route map, clearer per-vehicle prices, and the chosen vehicle recapped on the payment step.
    • Luggage and extras handled properly: extras that take boot space are checked against the chosen vehicle; when something does not fit, the site proposes the cheapest vehicle that does, with the exact price difference.
    • Clearer payments: online methods now read as "Pay online by card" in plain customer language, with any payment discount clearly shown.
    • Mobile first: the whole flow is optimized for iOS and Android, with a slide-up price and route panel, comfortable bottom buttons and smooth navigation.

Everything is already live on your website in every language, with the same prices and rules you configured. Nothing to set up.

  • New feature

AI Concierge: instant answers inside your dashboard

A new chat button in the bottom-right corner answers your questions about the platform and your own site: where to change a setting, how a feature works, how many bookings you received. Available now on every page.

    ReadClose

We added the AI Concierge, a chat assistant available from the button in the bottom-right corner of every page.

    • Ask where to change a setting ("Where do I set the night supplement?") and get the exact page with a direct link.
    • Ask about your own data ("How many bookings did I get this month?") and get live numbers for your site.
    • It knows every area of the dashboard: bookings, pricing, site builder, invoices, drivers and more.

It answers in your language and reads your data only to answer you; it never changes anything. If it cannot help, write to us as usual.

  • New feature

Become a Partner page and partnership requests

A new Become a Partner section for your website: other transfer companies apply with their company details, they get a thank-you email and the application lands in Partners > Requests. Approving one adds the company to your partners, with an optional confirmation email.

    ReadClose

You can now collect partnership applications directly from your website.

The form on your site. In Website > Site Builder you add the new Become a Partner section to any page. It asks a company for its registered name, VAT number, city, contact person, phone and email, and optionally for its website, fleet size and a message. You choose which of the optional fields to ask for, and you write the heading, the intro text and the list of what you offer. Whoever applies gets a thank-you email straight away; you get a notification with all their details that you can reply to directly.

Every application in one place. Partners > Requests collects them all, keeping the ones to review separate from the approved and the rejected. Opening one shows the full company details, their message and the consent they gave, with the date and the language.

Approve and they become a partner. Approving adds the company to your partners with contact details, VAT number and city already filled in, so you can pass them a trip right away; their website, fleet size and message end up in the partner's notes. You decide whether to send a confirmation email or approve silently, for example when you have already spoken to them. Rejecting adds nothing, keeps their details, and sends no email unless you ask it to.

The applications are yours alone: they arrive on your website and stay in your account.

  • New feature

    Email addresses on your domain

The new Email page under Website lists every mailbox on your domain, lets you create up to 3 extra addresses (like info@ or reservations@) and reset their passwords. Reading your mail is easy too: webmail from any browser, a one-tap configuration profile for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and ready-to-copy settings for every other app.

    ReadClose

In Website > Email you now manage the mailboxes on your own domain.

Your addresses at a glance. The page lists every mailbox on your domain with the space it uses. System addresses (like noreply@, which your website uses to send booking emails) are managed automatically by the platform and appear locked.

Up to 3 extra addresses. Create for example info@ or reservations@ on your domain. The secure password is generated for you and shown once, ready to copy; if you lose it, you reset it from the same page and get a new one.

Easy setup on every device. Read your mail from the webmail with nothing to configure, or download the configuration profile for iPhone, iPad and Mac: open it and the account sets itself up, you only type the password. For Outlook, Thunderbird and other apps the page shows the server settings with copy buttons.

Addresses cannot be deleted from the page: if you need to remove one, contact us.

  • New feature

Price Formula and Schedule Blocks: more control, a smarter tester

Airport surcharges can now apply only below a price you choose, a new long-distance reduction curves the price on very long trips, and the quote tester gained an advanced mode with date, time and return that applies your dynamic pricing exactly like the live site. Schedule blocks now support hour windows and can be edited.

    ReadClose

A set of improvements to the Price Formula and to Schedule Blocks.

Airport surcharges, only when they matter. Each airport surcharge now has an optional "Only below" price: set 150 € and a 90 € ride gets the surcharge while a 500 € trip does not. Leave it empty and everything works as before.

Long-distance reduction. If you come out too expensive on long routes, you can enable a taper: beyond a km threshold every extra km costs a little less than the previous one, with a maximum-discount ceiling protecting the price. Off by default, with sensible default values when you switch it on.

A much smarter quote tester. "Try a quote" now has an advanced mode: pick date, time and an optional return, and the test applies everything the live site applies on top of the formula: your Dynamic Pricing rules (named one by one), the night supplement and the round-trip discount. If the chosen date falls inside a schedule block you get a clear warning badge, the route is drawn on a map exactly as your customers see it, and the quote recalculates live as you change any field.

Schedule blocks with hours. A block can now cover only part of the day: a repeating window (busy every morning 07:00-14:00, or every night across midnight) or one continuous period from a start date and time to an end date and time. Existing blocks can finally be edited instead of deleted and recreated, and when a customer hits a timed block, the message on your website tells them exactly which hours are closed, so they know the rest of the day is available.

Safer reset. Restoring the formula defaults now asks you to type the website name first, so weeks of tuning cannot be wiped by an accidental click.

  • New feature

Backup & Wipe: export your bookings and delete them for good

A new tool in the Bookings menu: export bookings to Excel and CSV in a ZIP archive (with an optional password), download it or send it to a cloud service like MEGA, pCloud or Bunny, and then delete those bookings from Tosiu permanently. Nothing is deleted until the backup has been delivered.

    ReadClose

In the Bookings menu you now find Backup & Wipe: a tool for when you want your booking data stored somewhere of your choice, and removed from Tosiu for good.

You choose what to include: all bookings, only cash ones, only the ones paid online, a single customer, or a travel period. The tool creates a ZIP archive with an Excel file and complete CSV files, and you can protect it with a password (AES-256 encryption).

The archive can be downloaded to your computer and/or sent to a cloud service: MEGA, pCloud or Bunny Storage, even more than one at once. Each service becomes usable only after a real connection test: we upload a probe file, read it back, verify it byte by byte and delete it.

The order of operations protects you: first the archive is created, then it is delivered to every destination you selected, and only after a successful delivery are the bookings deleted. If anything fails, nothing is removed. Customers, invoices, quotes and costs are never touched.

Every run stays in a history where you can download the archive again; deleting a history entry also deletes its archive from Tosiu, so what remains is entirely up to you.

Tours and Shuttles are in testing

We have started testing two new services: Tours, experiences you create and sell on your site, and Shuttles, scheduled shared lines. They are live for a small group of accounts and will be enabled for everyone at the end of the testing period, in the next one to three months.

    ReadClose

We have started testing two new services alongside transfers:

    • Tours: experiences you create yourself (a wine tour, a coastal day trip) with their own page, pricing and booking flow on your site.
    • Shuttles: scheduled shared lines with fixed departures and per-seat pricing.

Both are currently enabled for a small group of accounts. At the end of the testing period, in the next one to three months, they will be rolled out to everyone. Nothing changes in your dashboard until then.

  • New feature

More review platforms, a review page and automatic review requests

Reviews now go beyond Google and TripAdvisor: you can add Trustpilot and platforms like Yelp or Reviews.io. Your site gets a review page with a shareable link and QR code, and an optional email that asks for a review a few hours after a completed trip.

    ReadClose

The reviews section has grown. Besides Google and TripAdvisor you can now connect Trustpilot and other platforms like Yelp or Reviews.io, in Website Settings.

Your website also gets a dedicated review page that lists all your platforms in one place, with a short link and a QR code you can print or hand to customers, plus a ready WhatsApp share message.

And if you turn on automatic review requests, the system emails the customer about three hours after the trip is completed, asking for a review with the link included. You can also send the request manually from any booking.

  • New feature

Add your drivers and assign trips to them

You can now add your company drivers and assign each trip to one of them. The driver is notified by email and gets a personal dashboard where they see their assigned trips, update them and record their expenses.

    ReadClose

In Drivers you add the people who drive for you. From a booking, or from the new dispatch board (a day view with one row per driver, where you drag trips from one driver to another), you assign each trip to a driver.

The driver gets an email with the job and a link to their own personal dashboard: no account to create, it works straight from their phone. There they see the trips assigned to them with all the details, update the trip as it progresses and record their expenses. You see everything reflected in your dashboard in real time.

  • New feature

The dashboard is now a complete CRM for your company

app.tosiu.com now manages the whole transfer company, not only the website: customers with their history, drivers, fleet with vehicle documents and expiry reminders, partner companies, company costs and your invoices, all in one place.

    ReadClose

app.tosiu.com is no longer just the place where you manage your website: it is now a complete management system for a private transfer company. New sections in your dashboard:

    • Customers: every customer with their contact details and full booking history.
    • Drivers: your company drivers, with trips assigned to each one.
    • Fleet: your real vehicles with plates, plus vehicle documents with expiry reminders so an insurance or revision never slips by.
    • Partners: the companies you pass jobs to, with the money side tracked.
    • Costs: the company expense register, by category.
    • Invoices: issue and track your own invoices, linked to bookings.

Everything is connected: a booking links to its customer, its driver or partner, and the money it generated.

  • Improvement

    Full control over every booking

Every booking now has a complete set of actions: edit the trip details, assign it to a driver, change the status, resend the confirmation email, add private notes and mark it as paid.

    ReadClose

The Bookings page now gives you full control over each trip. From the booking detail you can:

    • Edit the trip: date, time, addresses, passengers, price.
    • Assign it to a driver (or to a partner company).
    • Change the status as the trip moves forward, or cancel it.
    • Resend the confirmation email to the customer.
    • Add private notes that only you and your team can see.
    • Mark it as paid and keep the payment picture accurate.

Everything is logged, so you always know who changed what and when.

  • Improvement

The dashboard is now much better on mobile

The whole dashboard has been reworked for phones: panels open as bottom sheets, tables become cards, buttons are easier to tap and forms are comfortable to fill on a small screen. You can manage your website and your bookings from anywhere.

    ReadClose

The whole dashboard at app.tosiu.com has been reworked for mobile. Panels and dialogs now open as bottom sheets, tables turn into cards on small screens, buttons are sized for fingers and forms no longer zoom or jump around while you type.

The goal is simple: everything you do at the computer, from checking a new booking to changing a price or editing a page, should be just as comfortable from your phone, since most of the day you are in the car and not at a desk.

  • New feature

Automatic pricing with exact addresses on Google Maps

You can now choose how your website prices transfers: manual prices per route, or automatic prices computed from distance and road type. With automatic pricing, customers type their exact pickup and drop-off address with Google Maps, inside the service area you define on a map.

    ReadClose

Your website can now price transfers automatically. In Website > Pricing you choose between two methods:

    • Manual prices: you set the price of every route yourself, per vehicle. This stays exactly as it is today and remains the default.
    • Automatic prices (formula): the price is computed from the trip. Short trips use a fixed tariff per distance band; longer trips are priced per km based on the type of road actually driven (city, main road, motorway), with optional adjustments for things like mountain climbs. Each of your vehicles gets its own adjustment percentage and minimum price.

With automatic pricing your booking form also changes: it is fully integrated with Google Maps, so customers type the exact pickup and drop-off address, not only your predefined locations. You stay in control through the service area: trips are only bookable when they start or end inside the zones you define (a radius around a place, or a whole region or province).

A built-in tester lets you check the price of any trip before going live, and one click recalculates all your saved routes with the formula. Dynamic pricing, night supplements, extras and promo codes keep working on top of the computed price.

  • New feature

Ask customers to pay a deposit online

You can now ask customers to pay part of the booking online, for example 30%, and collect the rest on the day of the transfer. Both amounts are stored on the booking and shown in the confirmation email.

    ReadClose

Your website can now take a deposit at checkout. You choose the percentage (for example 30%): the customer pays that part online when booking and pays the rest directly to you on the day of the transfer. The checkout, the confirmation email and the booking detail all show the two amounts clearly, so there is never a doubt about what has been paid and what is still due.

To use it you need an online payment method enabled. Turn it on and set the percentage in Booking Setup, under Rules & payments.

  • New feature

Choose how customers book your transfers

A new Booking Method setting in Website Settings lets you keep automatic capacity-based pricing or let customers pick a specific vehicle, each with its own price, passengers and luggage.

    ReadClose

You can now choose how customers book on your site. In Website Settings, under Booking Method & Vehicles, pick one of two methods:

    • Capacity-based. The site sets the vehicle automatically from the number of passengers, the way it always has.
    • Vehicle selection. Customers see your vehicle classes (for example Economy, Business or Van) and pick one, each with its own price, passenger count and luggage.

If you switch to vehicle selection, you set up your classes and their prices in the same section, and you can go back to capacity-based at any time. Set it up in Website Settings.
